| The FDA's Cause |
The fundamental cause of the FDA is to advance western democracy. I.e. help make western society more democratic. The FDA supports this cause by research and studies on democracy, and education of the public about democracy. Currently, the FDA is examining the state of western democracy through studies on major issues and electoral processes. Also, the FDA is researching forms of democracy through studies on public selection of political representatives.
The FDA defines democracy, in simple terms, as "government of the people, by the people, for the people." Abraham Lincoln, Gettsburg Address.
